Our single-origin cacao paste is made from raw cacao beans sourced from small farm cooperatives in the jungles of Peru. Beyond being certified organic, fairly traded, and sustainably grown, these beans are also heirloom - meaning the seeds have been passed down from generation to generation, helping to preserve rainforest biodiversity and support sustainable livelihoods in local communities. Cacao offers a rich supply of antioxidants, minerals such as calcium, magnesium, iron, and zinc, and unique compounds that have been shown to boost energy levels and feel-good brain neurotransmitters. Our low-temperature, stone ground process ensures that our paste retains the original nutrition found within the whole bean. Use as a base for homemade chocolate creations, chop it up and use as sugar-free chocolate “chips”, or melt down and drizzle over your favorite desserts.
