Chia: a superfood powerhouse

Chia is loaded with nutritional benefits - we're talking plentiful omega 3 fatty acids for brain and nerve health, loads of gut-healthy fiber, and all 9 essential amino acids for a complete protein. They're also a good source of antioxidants and minerals manganese, phosphorus, copper, selenium, iron, magnesium, and calcium. They are a superfood from South America once used by Aztec warriors for sustained energy.

The majority of chia seeds' fiber is insoluble, making it a great food for overall digestive health. Chia seeds are highly absorbent and will turn into a thick gel-like texture when submerged in liquid - exactly what's needed to create a thick and creamy tapioca-like pudding.

This recipe utilizes our Rawmio Toasted Hazelnut Spread - a dreamy combination of lightly toasted hazelnuts, heirloom raw cacao, low glycemic coconut sugar, and creamy sprouted oat milk slowly stone-ground to that perfect signature silky-smooth consistency. We blended it right into a base of oat milk to turn it into rich and slightly sweet chocolate milk with a hint of hazelnut.

Toasty Rawmio Chocolate Chia Pudding

The Recipe

Rawmio Toasty Hazelnut Chocolate Chia Pudding
Serves 2
Ingredients

1 cup oat milk (preferably unsweetened)
4 Tbs chia seeds
2 heaping Tbs Rawmio Toasted Hazelnut Chocolate Spread
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
+ extra Rawmio spread for drizzling

Steps
1) Blend Rawmio spread with oat milk and vanilla to create a toasted hazelnut chocolate oat milk.
2) Place chia seeds in a glass container or jar with a lid and pour chocolate milk over them, making sure to continuously stir so the seeds don't clump together.
3) Cover with lid and place in the fridge for at least 2 hours* to fully set, stirring a few additional times if possible to prevent clumping.

*For the thickest texture, let your pudding set for 4 hours (or overnight!)
