Green Mango Monster Nice Cream with Veggimins (Recipe!)
It's finally starting to feel like summer, which means it's time to make sure those freezers are well stocked with plenty of frozen fruit. It can be tough to figure out meals that are light enough to eat in 80-90 degree weather, yet also contain the array of nutrition our bodies need to stay energized and well. The solution: superfood nice creams all day errrrryday. This particular recipe offers a serious boost of plant based protein, vitamins, minerals, phytonutrients, antioxidants and detoxifying chlorophyll thanks to two of our favorite green powders: Indian moringa (known for offering a plethora of concentrated nutrition) and Veggimins Amazing Algae - our incredible superfood algae blend which combines spirulina and chlorella with E3 Live blue green algae. And all of that green goodness is delivered to you in the form of raw vegan ice cream, or rather, nice cream to be more precise. Pretend you're at a frozen yogurt shop - have fun with it and use all your favorite toppings!
The Recipe
Green Mango Monster Superfood Nice Cream
Serves 1
Ingredients
2 frozen bananas
1 cup frozen mango
1/2-3/4 cup coconut or almond milk, unsweetened and preferably raw
1 tsp Dastony Stone Ground Nut Butter (we used our superb Watermelon Seed Butter)
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp Veggimins Amazing Algae
1/2 tsp moringa
Instructions
1. Make sure to put in your liquid first and chop up the bananas in small enough chunks so that the blades can catch. Then blend, top and dig in.
