A Creamy Superfood Sweet Potato Pie Shake to Ring in the Fall

Creamy Superfood Sweet Potato Pie Shake

October is just a few short days away. Fall is here! Which means one thing for us autumn-lovers: pumpkin season is upon us. If like clockwork you start to crave all things pumpkin spice this time of year, we're right there with you. There's only one dilemma. It's still like 85 degrees outside. Not exactly cozy sweater weather. But don't despair, we have the perfect solution for you: a totally delicious, plant-based pumpkin pie spiced shake that will satisfy your fall-time cravings while also keeping you cool.

Not only does this recipe taste like pumpkin pie in a glass, but it is also loaded with veggies that will help you feel nourished and full. This recipe definitely doesn't have to be reserved for dessert - in fact, it really isn't overly sweet. It's definitely healthy enough to eat for breakfast and makes a perfect nutrient-packed snack for any time throughout the day. It is rich in beta-carotene from yams - an important antioxidant for the skin and eyes. This fabulous root veggie is also what gives this recipe that classic pumpkin pie yumminess. Frozen zucchini and cauliflower help make the texture nice and thick, and also give the body a hefty dose of extra fiber. Great for digestion and great for blood sugar. And if you're wondering how those ingredients could possibly taste decent in a smoothie recipe, rest assured you'll never even know they're there. Enjoy!
